About M. Design

The Master of Design (M.Des) program at GLS University is a two-year, interdisciplinary course designed to foster advanced skills in design through a comprehensive curriculum. The program offers three specialized tracks: Visual Communication Design, Design Management, and Furniture and Retail Space Design. Students are guided through a progressive journey of Knowing, Thinking, Doing, and Transforming, ensuring a holistic and practical design education. The program blends theoretical knowledge with applied learning, integrating elective-based learning, studio-focused tracks, and interdisciplinary approaches. By the end of the course, students complete a final project that synthesizes their learning to create impactful, industry-relevant design solutions.

The M.Des program is aimed at individuals who wish to deepen their design expertise and take on leadership roles in design-related fields. The curriculum emphasizes innovation, critical thinking, and the practical application of design principles across various industries. The Design Management specialization integrates design thinking, business strategy, and leadership to equip students with the skills needed to lead design-driven organizations. The Furniture and Retail Space Design specialization immerses students in the dynamic fields of furniture and retail design. To apply for admission, please visit our portal, register yourself, and then wait for an email for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) & Personal Interview. On basis of the results these examinations, the final admission results are declared.
