In September 2024, the Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Technology (FCAIT) organized a series of insightful seminars aimed at equipping students with essential skills and knowledge for their future careers.
On September 10, Mr. Alok Shah, Director, Arham Education led the seminar titled "Linked-in: The Future of Job Search." This session focused on leveraging LinkedIn to enhance job search strategies, emphasizing the importance of self-assessment, effective profile creation, and active engagement. Students were provided with tools to navigate the competitive job market and improve their career prospects.
Following this, on September 17, Mr. Geet Sharma, Asst. Professor, NMIMS School of Design conducted a seminar on "Enhancing User Experience using Immersive Experiences." He explored the role of immersive technologies in boosting user engagement and highlighted the significance of user-centric design and storytelling. Through case studies in education, healthcare, and entertainment, Sharma inspired students to consider innovative approaches in their future projects.
On September 23, Prof. Neha Samshir delivered a seminar on "Blockchain Application." She explained the fundamental structure and types of blockchain technology, along with its diverse applications across industries such as finance, supply chain, and healthcare. On September 24 ,Prof. Nasrin Aasofawala led a seminar focused on Google Scripts and Mobile Applications. She demonstrated how to automate tasks using Google Scripts and introduced Google App Maker for custom app development. The session emphasized productivity and user-centered design, empowering students to effectively integrate these tools into their projects.
On September 25, Prof. Drishta Barot hosted a seminar on "Group Discussion and Personal Interview." She highlighted the critical importance of communication skills, shared strategies for successful group discussions, and introduced the STAR technique for interviews. The session equipped students with the confidence and skills necessary to enhance their employability.
