Empowering Tomorrow's Innovators: Unveiling the Brilliance of CyberShadez 2024 at GLS University

The Faculty of Computer Application and Information Technology and Faculty of Engineering & Technology departments of GLS University recently organized CyberShadez 2024, a two-day Techfest focused on fostering student innovations centred around the theme of "computational intelligence." Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director of GLS University, and Mr. Indrajeet Mitra, Cofounder and Director of Gateway Group of Companies, were present at the event, along with other university officials.

The inauguration ceremony took place on February 10, 2024. With over 1300 attendees from 50+ institutes and nine states across India, the hybrid mode event was a huge success. During two days, more than 21 technical events occurred.

After a month-long Techathon event, participants from all over India came together on the final day. Dr. Savita Gandhi, Dean of FCAIT-PG at GLSU, delved into computational intelligence and its impact on future IT students. Dr. Harshal Arolkar, Head of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, delivered a comprehensive update to the audience regarding the events of the past two days.

The keynote address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Mr. Indrajeet Mitra. He informed the students about the latest advancements in computational intelligence. He highlighted the potential impact of computational intelligence on improving and streamlining people's lives. He emphasized the strong connection between artificial intelligence and computational intelligence. Students are considered the future of India and have the potential to transform the field of information technology through the application of computational intelligence. It was emphasized that, despite potential risks, we should embrace the positive impacts of technology for the progress of humanity.

Dr. Chandni Kapadia motivated the students with her inspiring words. She acknowledged and valued the efforts of 30 university teams. The teams presented their innovative prototypes based on computational intelligence. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, she highlighted the valuable experience gained through the Techfest, emphasizing its benefits for both students and staff members of the university.

Dr. Tripti Dodiya, the Dean of FCAIT-UG at GLSU, delivered a vote of thanks. Winners received cash prizes totalling Rs. 2 lakhs as a token of appreciation. During the two-day event, students showcased their abilities and gained knowledge from their classmates.
