GLS University's PG Diploma in Mobile Applications (PGDMA) is a one-year full-time post-graduate programme leading to Post-Graduate Diploma in Mobile Applications (PGDMA).The programme will be offered by the Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Technology, GLS University.

Programme Objectives

The programme of Mobile Applications has been designed in such a way that the students will be able to learn the fundamental technologies for developing mobile applications. The platforms that will be taught to them are Android and IOS. After the study of both the semesters, the students will develop reasonable confidence in taking up the task of mobile application development in industry. More specifically, the programme is intended:

  • To train graduate students in current mobile technology concepts.
  • To enhance their career opportunities in the mobile application development sector in the state.
  • To enable the students in choosing the options available for further studies.
  • To expose the students to Open Source technologies so that they become familiar with them and can seek appropriate opportunities in trade and industry.
  • To give hands on to students while developing real-life mobile applications as part of the study.

Eligibility Norms for Admission to PGDMA

The applicant must have passed the Graduation examinationfrom a University recognised by UGC with any one of the following disciplines:

  • Computer Science (B.Sc. (CA) or B.Sc.(IT))
  • Computer Applications (B.C.A.)
  • B.Sc. with Maths or Physics or Statistics
  • Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology

Admission Procedure

  • Admission to reserved category applicants will be as per the guidelines of Government of Gujarat.
  • Admission to all categories will be on merit.Final admission will be granted on the basis of academic record plus entrance test score and personal interviews, if required.
  • Separate category-wise merit lists will be prepared.
  • Applicants from Universities other than Gujarat University will have to obtain and produce Provisional Eligibility Certificates from GLS University.

  • Passing percentage in Internal and External evaluation is 40 each. The components of the internal evaluation will be communicated by the institution at the beginning of the semester.
  • External evaluation will consist of University Examination to be conducted by GLS University
