Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is a two years professional post-graduate programme approved by AICTE. The programme is a blend of both theoretical and practical knowledge. An MCA course gives an in-depth knowledge about how to develop better computer applications and software to the students. It enables the students to work with tools used to solve real life problems and develop better and complex software applications.
The institute employs variety of teaching and learning techniques to impart knowledge and skills to students. Lectures, presentations, seminars and practical project work are commonly used to develop conceptual, analytical and decision making skills of the students, and to prepare them to face the challenges of the organizational environment. Concerted effort is made to assess the performance of the student through a continuous system of evaluation that includes assignments, presentations, software experimentation, tests, quizzes, mid-term and semester-end examination to ensure highest academic standards as well as practical orientation.
Though classroom and laboratory learning is emphasized equally, students are also required to undertake a number of practical projects in the different subjects of the programme for which the requirements gathered from business/industry is analyzed, project developed and presented in the form of reports.
The glorious journey of 22 years is ongoing and is strongly bonded by huge alumni base and strong corporate relationship. The institute is continuously adopting the changes in its syllabus as per the market requirements to cope up with the dynamic nature of IT sector.
Candidate must have appeared in CMAT with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category) in BCA/B.Sc.(IT)/B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent.
OR
B.Sc./B.Com./BA (50% for general category and 45% for reserved category) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at graduation level with additional bridge course as may be decided by competent authority.

Mini Project / Dissertation
The institute inspires the students to design and develop software for a challenging problem as a part of mini project or study of any research area as a part of dissertation. This enhances the problem solving capability and analytical thinking of the students.
Open Source Tool Exploration
The institute advocates and practices the open source philosophy, as a part of it students are encouraged to explore and experiment with open source software under the guidance of the faculty member. For this exploration, students install the software, learn the idea and implementation of it as well as run it to conclude some fruitful output. This helps the students to enhance their logical ability.
Summer Assignment
Summer assignment is a group work to be carried out after the completion of the final University examination. Students are encouraged to choose the state of art technologies that complement the study of subjects in syllabus. As a part of summer assignments students can select small software development project, extensive experimentation of any Open Source Software, comprehensive study of any Emerging Technology, Application of methodologies of Data Science, Survey in a designated area and analysis of gathered data. It assists the students to improve the technical knowledge and skill in a particular area of interest.
