Integrated MBA Programme (I-MBA)

The Faculty of Management at the GLS University offers a 5 year (10 Semesters) Integrated BBA-MBA programme for all eligible class XII pass out students. It has enjoyed a high creditability in the corporate world over the years. Many of our alumni occupy significant leadership positions in the corporate hierarchy while some have been successful entrepreneurs. Students undergo a wide gamut of courses through its choice based credit system over the span of 5 years. These subjects are curated and offered inline with the global market demand, so that the students of I-MBA Programme are ready to blossom professionally in the wide field of management. The most notable feature of the programme are its objectives and its flexibility in providing a genuinely broad-based education. Students are given an opportunity to work on various industry driven projects, participate in workshops which focuses on individual’s personality development and employability.

On the successful completion of the first 3 years, the students are awarded with a Bachelors in Business Administration Degree (BBA) and after the successful completion of 5 years, they are awarded with Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA).

However, students who want to acquire only an undergraduate degree, have an option of getting a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree on the successful completion of 3 years.

Graduation Year Develops a practical holistic approach. 6 Common Subjects (Including Industry Oriented Project)and specialisation subject Students will be equipped with much needed advance technology knowledge which will allow them to stand apart as a Management graduate.
On successful completion of the first three years, a Bachelor's of Business Administration Degree is awarded to the students
Progression Year Empowers future leaders with a visionary approach. 4 Common Subjects(Including Summer Internship) and 3 subjects of Specialisation Students will acquire the qualities of being the efficient team member and also develop the skill for becoming effective leader.
Specialization Year Focuses on applying the acquired knowledge to the real world challenges. 4 Common Subjects(Including Comprehensive Project) and 3 subjects of Specialisation Student will gain the understanding of the demands and challenges faced by global business environment, they tend to develop the capabilities to become the successful corporate professional at global level.

Cloud based Learning Management System (LMS)

GLSU has World Class Learning Management System (LMS) with student friendly features like Customized Course Calendar, facility of downloading subject Videos and Course Outline, undertaking online quizzes and student evaluation. LMS facilitates Students in problem solving and clarifying the concept via interaction with faculties. LMS also assist in Progress Monitoring, Attendance Reports and Fees Status.

Auditorium

The campus hosts a centralized air conditioned, multipurpose auditorium with a seating capacity of 275 people with a big modular stage and a green room. The auditorium is adequately equipped with latest technology equipment's with uninterrupted power supply, sound systems, video facility and LCD projectors.

Fitness Centre

With an emphasis on the scientific approach to fitness, University has an ultra-modern fitness center “The Fitt Wave” spread across the area of 12,000 sq. ft. It is equipped with resources and facilities like advanced equipment, fitness trainers, weight exercise area, cross fit area, yoga studio, Nutrition & Health café, consultation room, locker facilities, steam rooms, huge shower cabins etc.

Industry Exposure

IMBA, GLS University recognizes the importance to instil the corporate culture into the lives of the students. The programme explicitly emphasizes on Industry-Academia Interactions as a part of their continuous endeavor by setting up a Corporate Relations Cell. The dedicated cell organizes subject and content specific guest sessions on regular basis which facilitates students to relate and explore theoretical learning into practical implementation through the real-world experience of successful practitioners. It provides a vibrant platform to the participants to get insights from the vast pool of expertise from a gamut of promising areas and sectors wherein they strive to see their professional careers.

  • Live Projects - IMBA program, by calibre of exploring its corporate ties, invites corporates to select preferred students for live industry project to impart the actual experience of corporate assignment.   • Summer Internship – It is mandatory for students to undertake a 6-8 weeks summer internship with organizations of their interest area on completion of their semester 8. It provides the required hands on experience and helps them in getting better informed about their interests and the field they would want to work in. Outstanding Achievers

  • Dhiti Desai (pen-name: Aakruti) has penned down two astonishing books named ‘Betwixt the Pink Mountains’ and ‘Rephrased and aligned’. These two books are a collection of her poems, in which the first was published on 13th October 2019 and later one is published on 24th April,2022. She has been awarded with Lifest award for being “Inspiring Author for 2021” across genres. She has also been recognised by Sahitya Samman ’21. She was highly appreciated and nominated by World Book Fair at Delhi.
  • Swapnil Yadav have developed an application named “Saksham”. This is a platform which enables blind students to find writers for the examination. This application allows individuals to register themselves as writers and according to their expected fees, time availability and geographical boundaries, the best match is made available by the application.
  • Rhea Trivedi has inscribed and published an astounding book named “Flying thoughts’ as co-author published by Pixie and Pexels in 2022.
  • Kaif has been one the best tennis player of our institute, who has secured the first position in Faridabad Tennis Academy, a national level competition. He has also been selected as national player of Kudo for India in 2022. He is also representing India on international level for world championship being held in Japan for Kudo in May 2022.
  • Supan Maniar along with the support of his batchmates, successfully organized TEDx Ellisbridge in which entrepreneurs, biomedical informatics, healthcare futurists, microbiologists, global educators, social workers, dancers, singers, models, actors and pilot with Indian Air Force participated to entice the audience with their TEDx talks.

The institute, apart from establishing a robust teaching environment, facilitates and supports cutting-edge research in a wide variety of areas. Faculty of Management, GLS University has been the one of the few institutes in the state of Gujarat whose students’ research is well acclaimed and accepted in reputed institutions. In pursuance of the directions issued by the University Grants Commission and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India; Faculty of Management - IMBA has set up the Women Development Cell (WDC) with the objective to provide and maintain a dignified, congenial working environment for women employees (including teaching, non-teaching) and students, where they can work, study and explore their potential to the fullest. They can approach the Women Development Cell in case of any grievance.

The applicant should have passed the 12th Std. or equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects of Gujarat State Board/CBSE/ICSE or any other approved board with 45% marks (40% for students of reserved category viz. SC/ST/SEBC/OBC) or its equivalent with the first attempt.
